Our adult fitness and lifestyle concept is simple: we have a beautiful venue and membership like no other; we want to create a club atmosphere where like-minded people can spend a morning or afternoon expanding their horizons in a fun and relaxed environment. Current adult offerings include a “Roll Your Own Sushi” class presented by a local sushi chef, an ongoing speaker series, yoga, aquafit, tennis lessons and a workshop series covering the “101 Things Every Adult Should Know”.
Whether meeting with friends for drinks or your family for campfire night, or playing a great hand of bridge or leading a hot debate in book club, socializing at the Waeg is anything but dull. If you’re looking to meet and socialize with a great group of people, you need a little Waeg in your life!
In a supporting and encouraging way, our fitness programs provide members with opportunities for personal development, skill building, socializing and increasing health and well-being. Through our unique blend of facilities, programs and expertise, we encourage all members to enjoy the benefits of social interaction and ongoing participation in sports, recreation and activities. We schedule our fitness programs to accommodate the busy schedules of our adult members, running late evening, early morning and noon-hour programming.
FAMILY FUN
The Waegwoltic Club membership has demonstrated, throughout the years, contemporary social attitudes that have enhanced the tradition of the Club since 1908. The Club maintains a very strong family focus as evidenced by a wide variety of junior and family activities. The pricing of membership fees and dues, and our ancillary services reflect a commitment to value for all family categories. Popular family activities include: Waeg Carnival Day, Mother & Daughter Tea, The Great Waegwoltic Cardboard Boat Race, Family Campfire Night and Pool Parties.
Every day of the summer is packed with family fun, including daily free Art & Craft projects, sports and games on the Fairfield property and holiday celebrations. These events are a great way to meet other families living in the area and to enjoy endless summer days at the Club. On top of our programmed events, the Waegwoltic also boasts the best playground in South End Halifax, and the biggest sand box east of the West Edmonton Mall.
